Dr. Brian Nolan was born and raised in the Chicago,
Illinois area and completed his undergraduate
and medical education in the East. Dr. Nolan obtained
his B.S. from Yale University. After his general
surgery training, he completed his ophthalmology
residency at Harkness Eye Institute, Columbia
University of New York.
Dr Nolan completed a two year fellowship
in vitreo-retinal surgery at Walter Reed Hospital
where, following his fellowship, was an Assistant
Professor of Surgery at the Military Medical School
located in Bethesda, Maryland. The Professorship
was followed by an eight month service in the
Persian Gulf.
On Dr. Nolan's return from the Persian
Gulf, he joined the staff of physicians at the
Kentucky Eye Institute.
Dr. Nolan specializes in the care
of macular degeneration, diabetic changes within
the eye, retinal detachments, trauma to the eye
and other medical conditions which may involve
the eye.
