Kent Nickell, OD, is a native of eastern Kentucky,
having been born and raised in West Liberty in
Morgan County. Dr. Nickell graduated cum laude
from Morehead State University in 1980. After
an externship at the Castle Air Force Base Flight
Clinic, he graduated from the University of Houston
College of Optometry in 1983. Dr. Nickell has
been licensed in Texas and Ohio as well as Kentucky.
Dr. Nickell comes to Kentucky Eye
Institute with much experience in primary care
of patients with vision and eye health concerns.
He received valuable experience as a staff member
of the Levin Eye Institute and the Amend Center
for Eye Surgery in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Nickell
has been a practicing optometrist in West Liberty
since 1983 and has served Olive Hill since 1992.
Dr. Nickell is married to Kimberly
Vater Nickell and they have two children, Allison
and Joel. They make their home in West Liberty.
Dr. Nickell provides primary eye
care at Kentucky Eye Institute in West Liberty,
Olive Hill and Morehead.
